Recognizing outstanding team members who go above and beyond every single day.

Parent has also reported noticeable increases in communication, play, and overall day-to-day functioning within the family. Ciarrah's commitment to her clients and ability to build meaningful connections has made a huge difference in the client's progress.

The client experienced a period of intense resistance, including frequent avoidance behaviors and emotional dysregulation during scheduled bathroom transitions. Instead of letting momentum stall, Sarah remained incredibly calm, patient, and strictly adhered to the behavior intervention plan. They skillfully paired the bathroom environment with high-density reinforcement, systematically faded prompts, and accurately captured data amidst high-rate behaviors. Thanks to her consistency the client overcame the regression, resulting in an increase in successful independent voids and a significant reduction in transition-related challenging behaviors by the end of the month.

After making adjustments to the quality of attention provided during sessions, the client showed an immediate and consistent decrease in challenging behaviors, including aggression and task refusal. The client also demonstrated increased functional communication and greater social engagement with Reonna during reinforcement activities and play. Overall, both session quality and client data have looked significantly different due to her hard work and dedication.

She shows compassion in all areas by interacting with her clients on their levels and with things that they enjoy. Parents let me know that their child consistently wakes up and asks for her and to go see her, even on the days they don't have sessions. Izzy interacts with others in the environment to show positive interactions to her clients and models how to engage with others in fun ways.

A short and powerful nomination, every word counts.

She takes initiative without needing to be asked, stepping in to support others wherever needed and serving as a dependable, hands-on team member. Karissa builds strong, meaningful rapport with her clients and is genuinely well-liked by many of them. Even on the most demanding days, she maintains her composure and professionalism. We are truly fortunate to have her as part of the team.

She also maintains clear and timely communication with the telehealth BCBA and fellow RBTs, ensuring that any changes within the household are effectively shared with the entire team.

The client she covered made exceptional progress over the course of 30 days as she provided services. She has gained an increase in instructional control which has contributed to the reduction in the client's elopement behavior and an increase in his expressive and receptive communication, ability to tolerate transitions, and delayed or denied access to tangibles in lieu of engaging in challenging behaviors.

A short and heartfelt nomination, the kind that says it all in one breath.

During instances of escalated behavior, she supported the learner in returning to a regulated state. Makayla consistently maintained safety, provided appropriate redirection, and reinforced alternative behaviors, resulting in successful recovery and continued engagement in programming.

Angelica demonstrates a high level of professionalism when speaking with families, supervisors, and colleagues. We recently lost an RBT for these sibling clients and Angelica offered to adjust her schedule to be able to work with both siblings by splitting their sessions in half, ensuring both siblings are still receiving ABA services. The family has reached out on numerous occasions to express deep appreciation for Angelica and her flexibility to put her clients first and support continuity of care!

As the title sponsor of America's largest special needs & homeschool expo, Treetop set up shop at the Phoenix Convention Center for a full day of meeting Phoenix-area families, handing out resources, and making space for kids to play. The team ran developmental screenings, walked parents through what ABA actually looks like, and (somehow) kept up with a non-stop crowd of little ones.
Huge shoutout to the crew that made the day happen. You showed up, you stayed, and you represented Treetop with so much heart.

Showing Love to Fellow Teammates
May's peer-nominated shoutouts feature teammates from Utah, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, and beyond. Tap any card to read the full shoutout.
The RBT award goes to Chelsea for her compassion, quality of care, and client dignity. On Friday at the center, one of her client's peers had vomited all over herself and the floor around her. Chelsea remained calm and supportive.
Her client was also concerned and kept checking on the peer to make sure she was okay. Chelsea then helped the peer get clean clothes and continued to empathize and show support, letting her know it wasn't her fault and that it happens. Chelsea's client, who has extremely limited expressive communication, was even asking the peer if she was okay and continued to check on her. This was such a caring and compassionate response, and it reminds me how much genuine support is being provided here. We are lucky to have a team that truly cares about the health and wellbeing of these kiddos. This isn't “just a job” for them.
Where to begin with Jeannie! She is a superstar and a real joy on my team. Incredibly flexible and super accommodating, she's a true team player who has stepped up for last-minute initial assessments, even when it required driving into the clinic.
She's always happy to support and isn't afraid of a challenge, scheduling 9 initial assessments in a week. I reached out to her today and asked if she could support a clinic BCBA in writing up a treatment plan, and she was totally down to help. It is a real pleasure working with Jeannie!
I just want to publicly say how grateful I am for a BCBA who is truly about her team. Elizabeth is always on standby, always supportive, and always willing to step in whenever I need guidance or reassurance.
No matter how big or small the situation, she shows up with patience, professionalism, and real care. It makes a difference working under someone who not only knows their craft but genuinely supports the people around them. Thank you for being consistent, dependable, and a true leader. I appreciate you more than you know.
I want to give Terrica a huge shout-out because she comes in every day and goes above and beyond for each of our kiddos and technicians. She has worked hard to make sure our clinic has learning opportunities all over the walls.
Colors, shapes, farm animals, and more. All of those are great ways for technicians to do NET while transitioning, or even help calm behaviors down while in the hallways.
When there are uncertainties and lack of hours due to families' ever-changing schedules, Sam has always been there to provide support through new clients, fill-in sessions, and extra work possibilities. Sam has been my rock throughout my time at Discovery.
Before the merge of Treetop and Discovery, Sam was always extremely helpful when I had a question, and now with the merge, his transparency about the new changes has made it a smooth transition.
I had the privilege of meeting Sheena before joining Treetop a few years ago. Sheena has always had this amazing skill of multitasking and balancing all of the things. I genuinely do not know how she does it, and she is the true definition of a leader.
Sheena supports our team in everything we do, providing a space for us to give feedback on what is working and what isn't, share our highs and lows, and grow by challenging our determinations. Sheena is genuinely what makes this field great. She is always striving to make ABA a better field for families and clients while also leading her team to be better analysts and leaders. Very thankful for all that Sheena brings to our company, this field, and my growth as an analyst.
Verena is the sweetest RBT I've ever met. She has always been willing to talk about the stress of the job and her ways of managing it, which has helped me manage the stress of the job too.
Verena is always positive and happy, and it is fun to be around her.
Alexis consistently demonstrates initiative and professionalism in the clinic. She regularly completes tasks without being asked and proactively offers assistance when she sees staff need support with a learner. Lexie leads with compassion, modeling patience and empathy with both clients and colleagues.
She is collaborative and solution-oriented, often contributing ideas and helping implement systems that strengthen clinic culture and structure. Her reliability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic make her a valued and respected member of the team.
Michael Trujillo, Operations Manager & BCBA, joined Arizona Daily Mix to invite Phoenix families to the CHILL Act on May 9th, a free expo for families with children who have autism, ADHD, or learning differences. He walked viewers through what to expect: free developmental screenings, 50+ family zones, adaptive sports, sensory art, and a whole day of resources designed to help families get pointed in the right direction.
Treetop is a proud co-sponsor of the CHILL Act Phoenix event. Thank you Michael for showing up on air and representing what we do.
Julie LaForge
Where life happens: New Jersey, near the beach, with my husband, our three kids, and our dog George.
Two of the kids are in college and the youngest is in high school. Time flies. Honestly, the dog probably gets the majority of my attention, he doesn't talk back. We're all counting down to summer.
My path to recruiting started in the fast-paced world of Washington, D.C. politics, a background that taught me early on how the right people in the right seats can change everything.
Since then I've spent nearly two decades honing my craft: 10 years in investment banking recruiting, then the last 7+ years dedicated to ABA recruiting. Different industries, same core obsession, getting people into the seat where they actually belong.
When I first looked at Treetop, two things stood out immediately: the caliber of the people and the integrity of the mission. Because we are BCBA-led, there's a refreshing focus on high clinical and ethical standards.
Right now I'm in deep-dive mode: getting to know our incredible team, mastering our platforms, and speaking with BCBAs about some of our exciting opportunities.
What truly lights me up is the long game. I'm a firm believer that retention is a much more valuable metric than a quick hire. I view my role as a consultant for both the candidate and Treetop, ensuring a match is built on long-term happiness and clinical fit.
By prioritizing fit and retention over speed, we make sure our clinicians are happy and our families receive the consistent, high-quality care they deserve.
Currently obsessed with: matcha lattes and my dog George. (Sorry hubby and kids.)
Fun fact most people at Treetop don't know yet: I had to think about this so long that I'm now genuinely concerned about my overall fun factor. Going with a travel story.
I once spent two weeks in Siberia for work. November. The pre-trip travel alerts told us to leave our contact lenses at home, they were "at risk of freezing to your eye balls."
I left them behind and can confirm: it was that cold. Inside, outside, all of it freezing. The heat couldn't keep up. The local solution? They turn to vodka as an alternative. 🥶
Showing Love to Fellow Teammates
This month's peer-nominated shoutouts celebrate teammates from Arizona, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and New Mexico who go above and beyond for clients and colleagues every single day. Tap a card to read the full shoutout.
I would like to give a shout-out to someone who is incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, and truly amazing at their job. They consistently go above and beyond to provide guidance, answer questions, and offer support.
Their willingness to help makes a meaningful difference, not only in the quality of our work but also in creating a positive and supportive environment. Their professionalism, patience, and dedication do not go unnoticed, and I am very grateful to work alongside someone who is so committed and reliable.
I want to give a quick shout out to Tykela for always going above and beyond. She is incredibly supportive and responsive, especially when I am scheduling clinic assessments.
She consistently maintains a positive attitude and genuinely goes out of her way to make my job easier. Tykela is an effective and clear communicator, and her reliability makes a huge difference in keeping everything running smoothly. We are lucky to have her on our team.
Ms. Joy has been a delight to work with so far! Her outlook on ABA has been a great side of the ABA world to be on!
I love her compassion for the clients' needs, collaboration with us as therapists, but also her willingness to collaborate with other colleagues who are also helping these amazing kiddos! She also does not hesitate to hold these kiddos to high standards, which I love because they can do hard things, with our patience and their practice!
She was so flexible with parents' schedule when the start date had to be pushed back a few days. When she finally got to start with the client, she ROCKED pairing with the kiddo!
She accepted the client for exactly who they are and how they like to play! After session she immediately texted me things she noticed about behavior, skills, and conversations with parents that could help me as a BCBA. She also immediately offered to add time to sessions to make up the lost hours from scheduling conflicts! She has been an absolute joy to work with!
Dr. Leigh Ann Strain has done so much for North Carolina. We have made so much progress in the last 8 months since she has been with the team.
She truly cares for every staff and client and actively teaches clinicians. Her passion shows daily in her work! Thank you Dr. Leigh Ann!
Mauro is an exceptional BCBA. He is patient, open to ideas presented to him, and has truly made me a better tech.
He conducts supervision late into his evening and is always available to answer questions. His patience and willingness to teach have made me better at my job, and you can tell he genuinely cares about the techs and clients he works with.
She walked 2 miles in a snow blizzard to make sure she showed up for our client's session. She doesn't drive in the snow, so she chose to walk.
That level of dedication to a client is what every team aspires to. Kelley puts the kiddos first, full stop. Snow, sun, or anything in between, she shows up.
Charris brought her own props, a stethoscope and a white jacket, to teach a kiddo how to pretend to be a doctor.
She involved the peer cousin and both kiddos were laughing and engaged the entire time. The creativity she brings to sessions is unreal, and the clients absolutely light up around her.
Kelsey is always creating fun things for her clients to do. She built forts, made paper airplanes, and even built a space ship rocket for her client.
The level of imagination she brings to every session is a gift to her clients. Her sessions are always something to look forward to, and the kids know it.
Holly has welcomed me to the team with open arms, giving me lots of resources to begin my journey with Treetop ABA.
Onboarding can feel like drinking from a firehose, but Holly made it feel like a warm welcome instead. I'm so grateful to start this chapter with someone like her in my corner.
Sydney has done wonders supporting my client and myself through every hardship. She's demonstrated excellent understanding, communication, and leadership.
She's the kind of BCBA who shows up for her people, no matter what's going on. Sydney has become someone I genuinely look up to as a clinician and a teammate.
Mackenzie is such a hard worker and strives to support each of us BCBAs in the CO market. She never complains when I am consistently asking her questions.
She's the glue that keeps the Colorado team running smoothly. Mackenzie shows up every day with patience and a problem-solving mindset, and we'd be lost without her.
She's one of the best supervisors I've yet to have. She is patient, very responsive and supportive, always there to help and guide you with any and everything.
The kind of supervision that makes you feel like you're growing, not being graded. Bethany is doing the kind of work that builds careers, not just hits metrics.
She has been amazing at helping me grow and she just started with me! She teaches me with patience, intelligence, and grace, very knowledgeable as a BCBA!
Erin makes complex things feel approachable. The patience she brings to teaching has already changed how I approach sessions, and I'm so lucky to be paired with her.
Issy is always positive, kind, and so caring! I'm lucky to be able to work with her and witness how she handles hard days and busy days, with a smile on her face.
The kind of teammate who makes everyone around her better just by showing up the way she does. Issy's energy is contagious, and the clients clearly feel it too.

When my son turned 8 he suffered a seizure that caused him to hit his face. Me, being a married mother of 3, was dealing with difficulty within my marriage because my son was special needs, so I ended up doing everything alone. I began making wigs for children and adults who lost their hair to illness, and worked 2 other jobs to get my son all the therapy he needed because Medicaid wouldn't cover everything.
I want to tell you that there is hope for your child but you have to stop holding back the challenges your child will face and stand up to fight for them. My son overcame so much. The biggest challenge he faced was September 2023, his senior year of high school, when he was brutally assaulted for standing up for himself by 5 individuals. Being followed into danger left him with a permanent broken finger, a concussion, a seizure, and PTSD. My son is 20 now, trying to piece back his life, and we are still fighting for justice. So parents, never back down when it comes to any of your children. Keep your head up and stay focused. 💯
